Description Karanbir Singh 2005-07-25 23:20:10 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050722 CentOS/1.7.10-1.4.1.centos4

Description of problem:
When switching folders, the contents of the emails list and preview pane continue to display the conents of the previous folder. You need to click and select the folder a few times before the contents are updated.

Using the Keyboard to navigate the folders pane has the same results.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mozilla-mail-1.7.10-1.4.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Mozilla Mail
2. Select inbox ( note contents of the emails list and preview pane )
3. Select other folder
4. Select some other folder and then select same folder from Step.3

Actual Results: Only after step 4, are the contents for the folder selected in Step 3 updated.

Expected Results: Contents in the preview pane and emails list pane should stay in sync with the folder currently selected.

Additional info:

The problem gets reduced by disabling the "Remember last message selected" option from Mail Pref's - but the problem is not eliminated completely.

Since this bugzilla report was filed, we have seriously upgraded Gecko-related
packages, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this
problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their
distribution available.

Please, confirm to us that this bug is reproducible on the latest upgrade of the
supported distribution (that's RHEL, or Fedora 7, 8, and Rawhide).

Setting the bug to NEEDINFO. If I won't get confirmation of reproducability in
30 days, the bug will be closed as INSUFFICIENT_DATA.

[This is mass-changing of bugs which seem to be too old and irrelevant anymore;
we are sorry, if this bug should not be incldued.]

Reporter, could you please reply to the previous question? If you won't reply in
one month, I will have to close this bug as INSUFFICIENT_DATA. Thank you.

Comment 4 Matt Seitz 2008-03-12 18:46:42 UTC
I am no longer using Mozilla or Seamonkey, so I cannot confirm whether this is
fixed or not.
