Description Nenad Peric 2018-10-24 16:52:56 UTC
Description of problem:

conversion appliance does not have cloud-init packages installed and enabled in the appliance.
These are needed for after-deployment configuration and pushing of the SSH key to the instance from OSP.

Comment 1 Marek Aufart 2018-10-26 07:05:32 UTC
Hi Nenad, I'm going to add cloud-init package, but are there any special requirements for its setup (or a common config we use on other appliances)?

Comment 2 Nenad Peric 2018-10-26 07:57:55 UTC
Hi Marek,

you could use the kickstart mentioned someplace in the mail thread.

Quoting Fabien:

I'd advise to build using a kickstart based on RHEL 7 images with the additional packages: ansible, nbdkit, nbdkit-plugin-python2, ovirt-ansible-v2v-conversion-host, python-six, python2-openstackclient, virt-v2v, virtio-win.

You could get that KS at:

 https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/gitweb?p=spin-kickstarts.git;a=blob;f=rhel7/rhel-7.6-server-kvm.ks;h=2f7ad59a326d7b43f858096962f923b48adc04b4;hb=refs/heads/master

Probably would help you out in not having to add things manually.
