Description Muayyad Alsadi 2018-10-25 15:12:42 UTC
Description of problem:
under heavy loads (tracker-miner, running VMs, tensorflow training)
a single key press/release would trigger a flood of key press/release events are sent to application
for example if it was firefox and it crashes, when it recovers a trace of that is seen (ex. if I was trying to type twitter.com I would see something like ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libinput-1.11.3-1.fc28.x86_64
firefox-62.0.2-1.fc28.x86_64

How reproducible:
frequent unread heavy load

Steps to Reproduce:

just an example

1. when under load and tracker-miner-fs have eaten all the ram and some swap
2. type some letters on location bar
3. firefox crashes
4. restore session
5. note repeated letter

Actual results:
key press/release is repeated

Expected results:
no repetition

Additional info:
I have very bug ~/Downloads having ML datasets and code repos

my hardware is thinkpad t440p, 16G RAM, spin disks, CPU i7-4710MQ
