Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Q1 - What is the exact nature of the problem trying to be solved with this request?

A1 - The logic behind Satellite’s auto-attachment of entitlements is opaque at best and often makes poor decisions.



Q2 - List the business requirements.

A2 -  We’d like to spend less time fixing entitlement issues resulting from satellite mis-entitling our systems.



Q3 - Do you have specific timeline dependencies?

A3 - As soon as reasonably possible. I find myself untangling entitlement issues every other month and would like to not have to do that, but otherwise impair our ability to function.



Q4 - Can you please explain us the what are the functional requirements? If test cases can be provided this would be even more ideal.

Q5 - Would you be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented?
