A dependency of the efforts being undertaken on RHZB #1640024 is to have the Octavia amphora image files placed in a more standardized file system path across multiple OpenStack offerings. That will allow us to significantly simplify code in TripleO. At present, the Octavia amphora files provided by package octavia-amphora-image are placed in /usr/share/rhosp-director-images. It would be best installing them in /usr/share/openstack-octavia-amphora-images (already being used by RDO) starting from OSP 14.
This will require a change in rhosp-release as well so that symlinks are maintained, but should be doable.
