We understand the need for this, but currently this is how it is intended to be. The cluster-monitoring stack ships a Grafana instance that is entirely read only and any changes to the stack will be overridden. This is a feature request.

Comment 7 Trivedi 2019-01-23 09:44:42 UTC
Hi,

Can we expect any timeline on the read-only bug.

Comment 8 Frederic Branczyk 2019-02-04 14:21:21 UTC
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1668441 is the tracking RFE for this. We have no news on when this will be available.

Comment 9 Frederic Branczyk 2019-02-04 14:24:33 UTC
Sorry that was a mix up. This is just about the Grafana dashboards. This is still an RFE though, as this instance is intended to be entirely read only.

Comment 10 Christian Heidenreich 2019-02-05 13:36:24 UTC
Let's close this issue as won't fix since it is not intended to extend/modify the cluster-monitoring stack including Grafana. We have an RFE open to provide a more flexible Grafana environment in the future. Please see here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1668441
