Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

This is a Missing documentation and therefor it IS A BUG and cannot be closed silently!

The loadbalancing feature was listed in 6.4 and that means it must also be supported fully and just half of it.

Please fix it, or at least discuss with the raiser of the BZ before stupidly closing BZs that is not showing any interrest in the user-experience!!!

Comment 6 Karie 2019-09-26 15:25:08 UTC
Are there any plans to add the requested features to Load balancing in Sateliite?

Comment 7 Bryan Kearney 2019-10-24 19:24:37 UTC
This was delivered with Satellite 6.6. The tracking BZ is https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1700443. Documentation is available at https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.6/html/load_balancing_guide/index. I am closingv this out as current release based on the support of this feature in 6.6.

Comment 8 Bryan Kearney 2019-11-12 19:09:42 UTC
Since this BZ is about provisioning, I was incorrect in my comment. I am opening this back up.

Comment 9 Ryan Deussing 2021-07-02 14:47:44 UTC
Closing this as it pertains to a version of Satellite that is no longer supported.
