Description of problem: When connecting to e.g. Google Talk I get a warning about the certificate in use which is not signed by a CA. No SNI is defined in the OU and the CN is set to invalid2.invalid. Obviously, this shouldn't happen. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): empathy-3.12.14-7.fc29.x86_64 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add e.g. a Google Talk account to Empathy 2. When connecting the certificate warning is displayed Actual results: No connections are possible. Expected results: Encrypted connection established with a valid CA signed certificate. It's related to openssl 1.1.1. For example fetchmail need this patch : https://gitlab.com/fetchmail/fetchmail/commit/9b8b634312f169fab872f3580c2febe5af031615 to support SNI properly. Empathy need a similar patch.
