Description Alain V. 2018-12-02 11:47:41 UTC
Spec URL: https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/avigne/libmawk/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/00832365-libmawk/libmawk.spec
SRPM URL: https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/avigne/libmawk/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/00832365-libmawk/libmawk-1.0.0-1.fc30.src.rpm

Description: libmawk is a fork of mawk 1.3.3 restructured for embedding.
This means the user gets libmawk.h and libmawk.so and can embed
awk scripting language in any application written in C.

Comment 1 Alain V. 2018-12-02 11:56:01 UTC
To the attention of reviewers:

1. The configure process does NOT use autotools configure, but a locally developed C program.
That is why there is :
$ rpmlint libmawk.spec
libmawk.spec:39: W: configure-without-libdir-spec
0 packages and 1 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 1 warnings.

and I am not using the configure macro

2. There is Bison generated files for parsing the language.
Those files are GPLv3, but as they are not used to develop a parser generator, the "special exception" allows for GPLv2 only.

There are some files also using LGPLv2+, and public domain ones.

=> I consider the license to be only: GPLv2
Can be discussed.

Regards
Alain
