Google 2fs is still missing from the openconnect packaged despite it being in the upstream repo for over a year. and this be patched into the the RPM so this now mandatory feature just works out the box.
There is no upstream release which includes that automation.

openconnect-8.01-1.fc29 is working fine for me from the fedora testing updates repo. as such am going to close this.
