Same issue for me, very annoying... franquemagnee@localhost:~$ frescobaldi & [1] 15547 franquemagnee@localhost:~$ Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/frescobaldi", line 7, in <module> import main File "/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/frescobaldi_app/main.py", line 25, in <module> import sip tried to ln sip.pyi|so from lib64 to lib, but no effect Any help|workaround would be very much appreciated!
Found the workaround: # dnf install python3-sip => when installing frescobaldi a sip.so version is installed but unreachable by frescobaldi. Don't know whether missing files, wrong location or what else. After searching quite a lot found this package python3-sip, which also installs sip, but in another way? Anyway, after installing this Frescobaldi is working like a charm. Too bad this is such an obstacle course to have Frescobaldi working properly... shouldn't python3-sip be included in frescobaldi's dependencies?
Sorry, I managed to miss this. I'll get an update out requiring python3-sip ASAP.

I removed frescobaldi, lilypond and dependencies, then re-installed, using the guidance for the Updates Testing.
