It would be nice if the web admin checks and notifies the user if an update for the engine is available. Some (optional ?) details: 1. Check if installed version of ovirt-engine is older than available one. If so, update is available. 2. Check if installed version of ovirt-engine-setup is different from installed version of ovirt-engine. If so, user updated setup, but needs to run 'engine-setup'. Perhaps we can use engine-upgrade-check for part of the logic. If so, will have to change it. I now pushed [1] to notify the user during yum update of the setup package. This is not a replacement for current bug (which is about notifying in the UI), but complements. [1] https://gerrit.ovirt.org/96446
