Description of problem: I installed Fedora 29 to Asus X542U. Now fan is working always and I can not control it. This appears to be the same bug under component "kernel": Bug 1665750 - ASUS ROG laptop: asus_wmi: Number of fans: 0 This is probably a device driver issue, so I suggest changing the component of this bug to "kernel".
