Description of problem: Plasma Discover 5.14.4 (current version Fedora 29 KDE) How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update your system to the latest version 2. Start Plasma Discover 5.14.4 3. Discover begins to search for Updates --> Message "make sure, that your Appstream-data are correct.." 3. Discover will not find any update Actual results: No updates Expected results: Updates if available Additional info: No changes by the user were done, all settings are dafault.
This bug is also valid for flatpak software management. There will be also no updates for installed flatpak software like Skype an so on. The problem is that flatpak updates will only be found via Discover under Fedora 29 KDE.
I cannot reproduce this for flatpak's, but I can for PackageKit backend.
Probably time to submit this upstream to bugs.kde.org
Appears to be a bug in frameworks alright, either knewstuff or attica, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=399981
