Description of problem: If a SmartState Analysis of a RHV VM is performed, the Operating System full name is populated in the WebUI (for example "CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)". This seems to be populated from the vm.operating_system.product_name association/attribute. If a subsequent provider refresh is performed this is however reset back to the generic Operating System name (for example "rhel_7x64") Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.10.0.29 How reproducible: Every Time Steps to Reproduce: 1. In the Ops UI view for a RHV VM that hasn't had a SmartState Analysis run, observe the Operating System type. It should be a generic name such as 'rhel_7x64'. 2. Perform a SmartState Analysis of the VM 3. Observe afterwards that the Operating System field for the VM details in the Ops UI now shows the operating system full name 4. Perform a 'Refresh Relationships and Power States' of the same VM Actual results: Observe that the Operating System field for the VM details in the Ops UI has been reset back to the generic name Expected results: The more detailed operating system name retrieved from SmartState Analysis should still be shown. Additional info: Only tested on a RHV provider VM so unknown whether this also affects VMs from other providers.
