Description of problem: If you have a lot packages installed, the first time you use the app menu in a session, the desktop can hang for something on the order of a minute. The cursor moves, but you can't do anything in an window or switch workspaces while this is happening. This behavior started a few months ago. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xfce4-panel-4.13.4-2.fc30.x86_64 How reproducible: All of the time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. login 2. Click on the app menu 3. Try to do something using mouse clicks I typically have a lot of packages installed, so this is potentially worse for me than for typical xfce users.
