Description Jef Spaleta 2005-09-15 01:39:55 UTC
Description of problem:
start drive mount applet... see the "handle" appear on the panel for a second..
and then disappear and can no longer be interacted with. drivemount_applet2
process continues to run.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-applets-2.12.0-1

How reproducible:
always now that i have the gnome 2.12 components from rawhide installed.

Steps:
make sure you are synced to recent rawhide for all the gnome pieces.
try to add the disk mounter to the panel via the right click menu.
B

Actual results:
disk mounter outline appears for a second..but then disappears on the panel and
can not be interacted with.

Expected results:
Visible applet handlebar should be visible even if no disks are available on the
system to mount.

Additional info:
This could very well be related to bug 167108

bug 168334 and bug 167108 seem to be related to bug 167985 .

bug 167985 is that /usr/libexec/libegnome-vfs-daemon doesn't be executed.

Comment 2 sangu 2005-09-15 02:10:45 UTC
and please search /system/storage/ values in gconf-editor and see also :

Comment 3 Jef Spaleta 2005-11-18 20:58:13 UTC
I think this issue has now been fixed with recent rawhide updates.
sangu, have anything else to add? I'm pretty comfortable closing this out as
the reporter.
