Right, thanks, but that does not help much, I am mostly interested in gnome-shell logs only (i.e. "journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell") several seconds before the crash (these logs in comment 10 seem to include other processes -chrome?- which is not what I need).

The rationale being that I think Xwayland failed because the compositor (gnome-shell/mutter) either crashed or hang for some time (as Xwayland backtrace shows 
wl_display_dispatch_queue_pending() → wl_log_set_handler_client()) so I would like to get more information on what happened for gnome-shell.

Also, the logs show "libinput error: client bug: timer event9 debounce short: offset negative" which is an indication that gnome-shell is not reading input events, possibly because it's hung or busy dealing with something else.

Can you please just post the output of "journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell" in attachment instead?

This message is a reminder that Fedora 29 is nearing its end of life.
