Created attachment 1540749 [details] Patch for 'master' to build for EPEL 7 Description of problem: All prerequisites to build and install python-notify2 are available in EPEL 7, but python-notify2 hasn't been built for EPEL 7. I had actually created a spec for this package a while back, and was just getting around to submitting it when Fabio notified me that you beat me to it. I do, however need the package in EPEL, so it would be great if you could add the branch. Feel free to task me with maintenance and/or testing if you don't want to maintain the EPEL branch yourself - my FAS name is `cottsay`. I've attached a brief patch that would make the spec work for both Fedora and EPEL. Thanks!
Hi Neal - this bug hasn't been touched. Is there anything I can do to help move this along? Thanks, --scott
I made the request for the epel7 branch today: https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/10737
Neal - Thanks for taking action. It looks like the SCM request was processed, and I can see the branch in Pagure. Also, the change from Python 3.4 to 3.6 in EPEL 7 just went stable, so this package should cleanly produce a python36-notify2 subpackage with the patch I provided. Thanks! --scott
Hi Neal - it's been a few weeks. Anything I can do help? Thanks! --scott
