Description of problem: I login to the User Portal as default admin/internal credentials and in any VM, I try to change a CD. The change CD has [Empty] as a default and only choice when you use the drop-down to change to a different CD. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL-7.6-updates-20190220.0 rhv-4.3.1-2 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to the User Portal with admin/internal credentials 2. Select VM that is up and select to edit details on the VM. 3. Select the drop-down of "ChangeCD" that shows [Empty] as a default. Actual results: The default value of [Empty] and drop-down of [Empty] only shows. Expected results: The "Empty" value should be "Eject" and the drop-down should show the ISOs that are in the ISO domain and let you select the ISO to use. Additional info:
What happens if you click the refresh button at the top?
When I edit the ChangeCD and then click the refresh button I will get the ISOs from the Storage domain.
Thanks, please let cu know about the easy workaround. Probably worth a KCS, too. Root cause: https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-web-ui/issues/789
Upstream issue: https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-web-ui/issues/1023
Tal, this is an ovirt-web-ui issue, nt really storage. AFAIK the storage part works ok
Since https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-web-ui/pull/1049 is merged then I move this BZ to MODIFIED
Steps: 1. Login to the User Portal with admin/internal credentials 2. Select VM that is up and select to edit details on the VM. 3. Select the drop-down of "ChangeCD" that shows [Empty] as a default. Result: Clicking on Change CD that has default Empty value causes the drop down to show ISOs from the ISO storage domain and user can choose any. The chosen ISO is properly set in the detail card. No need to force refresh to get the list of ISOs. If you believe this is not enough, feel free to reopen the bug. Verified in: ovirt-web-ui-1.5.3-1.el7ev.noarch ovirt-engine-4.3.5.2-0.1.el7.noarch
