Description chbm 1999-03-23 16:02:52 UTC
After installing 5.9 i noticed rpm didn't work (complained
about not findinf rpmrc). After 'touch rpmrc' i discovered
rpm was not installed (only the rpm-devel package was
installed). I tried to install the rpm package but rpm
complained the file was for a diferent arch. Installing with
--ignorearch -Uvh rendered a
cpio error: bad magic number
halfway through the install.

Several people have reported problems with rpm-2.92-10 as distributed
on the beta. The fix is to get a later release of rpm.
