I updated my Fedora Silverblue from 29.20190319.0 to 29.20190320.0 The new version had Firefox 66, while the old version had Firefox 65. Ever since updating I've been unable to successfully have a Bluejeans meeting. The video keep freezing hard for 20 seconds, then work for 10 seconds, freeze up again. Occasionally it would drop me from the call. I tried booting back into the OS image that had Firefox 65 and then it worked fine again. I'm pretty sure it's Firefox itself, because this is the list of packages that differ between the images: Upgraded: firefox 65.0.2-1.fc29 -> 66.0-6.fc29 ghostscript 9.26-1.fc29 -> 9.26-3.fc29 hyperv-daemons 0-0.26.20180415git.fc29 -> 0-0.28.20190303git.fc29 hyperv-daemons-license 0-0.26.20180415git.fc29 -> 0-0.28.20190303git.fc29 hypervfcopyd 0-0.26.20180415git.fc29 -> 0-0.28.20190303git.fc29 hypervkvpd 0-0.26.20180415git.fc29 -> 0-0.28.20190303git.fc29 hypervvssd 0-0.26.20180415git.fc29 -> 0-0.28.20190303git.fc29 libdnf 0.26.0-1.fc29 -> 0.28.0-1.fc29 libgs 9.26-1.fc29 -> 9.26-3.fc29 librepo 1.9.4-1.fc29 -> 1.9.5-1.fc29 libseccomp 2.3.3-3.fc29 -> 2.4.0-0.fc29 mod_http2 1.11.1-1.fc29 -> 1.14.1-1.fc29 open-vm-tools 10.3.5-2.fc29 -> 10.3.10-1.fc29 open-vm-tools-desktop 10.3.5-2.fc29 -> 10.3.10-1.fc29 openssl 1:1.1.1b-2.fc29 -> 1:1.1.1b-3.fc29 openssl-libs 1:1.1.1b-2.fc29 -> 1:1.1.1b-3.fc29
Same, but on f30. Updated yesterday: 2019-03-24T14:58:05Z DEBUG ---> Package firefox.x86_64 64.0.2-2.fc30 will be upgraded 2019-03-24T14:58:05Z DEBUG ---> Package firefox.x86_64 66.0-9.fc30 will be an upgrade Today bluejeans connections were constantly freezing. yum downgrade to 64.0.2-2.fc30 and browser restart, no difficulties after that.
Same issue here, but on Fedora 29... just updated firefox to 66.0 this morning. Cannot have BJ meetings anymore, video freezes and connection drops every 20 seconds. Chromium works well.
I can confirm this. I even brought this to Bluejeans support initially, their response was "When looking at the meeting I see the multiple disconnects, and it appears our traffic wasn't able to route properly which caused the drops to happen so quickly."
Please try mozilla binaries (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Testing_Mozilla_binaries) Also please try to create a new profile (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems#Further_troubleshooting_steps). Thanks.
btw. It may be related to Bug 1692643.
I'm also seeing this.
Yes, I can see that too, reproduced with upstream binaries and also with latest nightly binaries, so looks like a general issue with Firefox 66.
Might this one be related, which is fixed in 66.0.2? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1521370 Not sure, if this also affects Linux, because they mention Windows 10 1809 explicitly.
I've tested https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=33863072. Seems to fix this issue. Bluejeans video is not dropping for me. I'm going to test it during some regular meeting today.
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=33863072 66.0.2 looks good. In meeting and no video drop with this latest build.
66.0.2 also works for me.
