1. Proposed title of this feature request [RFE] Improve Host Drop-down menu in different Dialogs (i.e. Alphabetical sort of Hosts in Remove|New StorageDomains) 3. What is the nature and description of the request? Many Host Drop-Down menus in webadmin UI are unsorted, which make it difficult to find the appropriate host. also the size is much to small and not resizable 4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) During daily administrative tasks, it's difficult to find the correct host for performing actions. It's wasted time to find the correct host. 5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) Aplhabetical sort of hosts in dialog/drop-down menu 6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. Click on drop-down menu and check, if the list is sorted alphabetical 7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? no 8. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)? asap 9. Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input? no 10. List any affected packages or components. ovirt-engine webadmin 11. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented? sure
this needs to be broken down to individual improvements. > (i.e. Alphabetical sort of Hosts in Remove|New StorageDomains) Are you talking about "Host To Use" drop down in Add Storage Domain? Something else? The only other item I see in the png you didn't attach - selecting the host used during SD Remove.

Yes, it's about the Host to use drop down. And of course, in related customer case, if the host to use for deletion during SD remove. But anyway, it should be more generic, as this is the third drop-down or list item, which I opened a case for, because the items are unsorted. Why aren't these lists always sorted alphabetical. Should I really open a BZ for every single item, as soon the customer hit this issue? That's bad customer experience.
no need for separate RFE for each. We will split it by teams when required. But we do need a list of places where you want it to be changed to be sure we don't miss any. There's no common place to do it at. So far we have these two for Storage: - "Host To Use" drop down in Add Storage Domain - selecting host to use during Storage Domain Remove operation

I don't know any menu, but it should be addressed globally, to have lists and drop-down menus sorted alphabetically in general. For now, on Storage I see following items for "Host to use" - Add new storage - import existing SD - remove SD I've attached screenshots from my environment as well.
Thanks for calrification. All 3 are in Tal's realm, reassigning
Hi Bushan, seems like bug is untargeted, adding needinfo to DEV. Might need to be moved to storage

Verified on ovirt-engine 4.4.1.1-0.5. Checked following items for "Host to use" in the following scenario's and they were sorted. - Add new storage - import existing SD - remove SD
