It would be nice if we could have this release in fedora 30 as well, since it should fix some issues I've been having with it in the Pantheon session.

Thanks for your interest. Sadly, I don't have the needed time currently to actively maintain light-locker. Maybe I'd orphan this package but there's no other co-maintainer and it seems to still be an important package for several users.
No problem. I depend on this package for the Pantheon Desktop though - so I'd be willing to take over "main" maintainership of the package, and you can stay on as co-maintainer, if you want. (my FAS username is decathorpe)
The FAS account decathorpe has assigned the provenpackager role, that means you can use the force to do the update without explicitly marked as co-maintainer. Feel free to apply.
I know that I *could* do it, but I still wanted to ask ;)
Snippet from changelog: Fallback to XDG_SESSION_ID if sd_pid_get_session fails Add meson build system (this is the last version with Autotools) Removed GTK+2 support Removed ConsoleKit support What does that all mean for Fedora? Could it break some features? I'm not happy especially with the "Removed ..." points.
In case of changelog, also important license discussion: https://github.com/the-cavalry/light-locker/issues/33#issuecomment-479409090
Looking at the .spec file, light-locker on fedora hasn't been built with support for either GTK+2 or ConsoleKit, so their removal doesn't affect the package. The license in the .spec file is also already correct (GPLv2+). I have tested a local build of light-locker 1.9.0 built with meson and haven't encountered any issues.
I've reviewed the changes again, and tested the new version on three different systems, witnessing no changes in behavior between version 1.8.0 and 1.9.0. So, built for rawhide: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1248597 I will also submit an update for fedora 30. Even if it's a minor update with no feature and / or behavioural changes and just bug fixes, I'd like to keep this one in updates-testing for a while, until it is obvious nothing is broken.
Thank you!
