Hi Hans,

cd VirtualBox-6.0.6
cat ../0001-VBoxServiceAutoMount-Change-Linux-mount-code-to-use-.patch | patch -p1
patching file src/VBox/Additions/common/VBoxService/VBoxServiceAutoMount.cpp
Hunk #2 succeeded at 115 (offset -3 lines).
Hunk #3 succeeded at 404 (offset 2 lines).
Hunk #4 FAILED at 425.
Hunk #5 succeeded at 488 (offset 3 lines).
Hunk #6 succeeded at 506 (offset 3 lines).
Hunk #7 FAILED at 1392.
2 out of 7 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file src/VBox/Additions/common/VBoxService/VBoxServiceAutoMount.cpp.rej

I had fixed the first failed Hunk:

-        mntinf.cMaxIoPages = Opts.cMaxIoPages;
-        mntinf.szTag[0] = '\0';
+        mntinf.tag[0] = '\0';

https://pkgs.rpmfusion.org/cgit/free/VirtualBox.git/tree/0001-VBoxServiceAutoMount-Change-Linux-mount-code-to-use-.patch

but Hunk #7 FAILED at 1392 is new to me, can you take a look at it ?

Thanks

Great, thank you. I've double checked the rebased patch and it looks good to me.

Copy/paste stopped working after updating from 6.0.6-1 to 6.0.8.
6.0.6-1 had the same problem with copy/paste not working, but this was fixed with the 6.0.6-1 patch.

what you mean ?

Comment 7 Sergio Basto 2019-05-17 06:30:31 UTC
virtualbox-guest-additions-6.0.8 is not built yet

Comment 8 caravel 2019-05-17 10:40:54 UTC
Prior to guest-additions 6.0.6 copy/paste worked with the guest-additions provided by VirtualBox.

Could you be more specific ? whar version is working ? what version dont work ?

what host are you using ? what version ?

Comment 10 caravel 2019-05-17 19:14:41 UTC
Up to VirtualBox 6.0.4 the guest additions provided by Oracle without any modifications by fedora were working fine with regards to copy/paste.

After upgrading to 6.0.6 copy/paste did not work until the guest additions were updated by fedora

Now the same thing as with 6.0.6 is happening with 6.0.8

Windows 10 host f30 guest.

Comment 11 Michael Thayer 2019-05-18 06:26:11 UTC
Does this happen if you remove all the Fedora Additions components you can (i.e. everything except the kernel modules which are part of the kernel package) and remove and re-install the Oracle Additions? If so this should probably go to our (VirtualBox) forums and bugtracker. Please try the forums first.

Comment 12 caravel 2019-05-18 07:43:16 UTC
I removed the fedora package 6.0.6-1 and rebooted. Copy/paste is still not working. Are there any other components that should be removed?

Comment 13 Michael Thayer 2019-05-18 11:03:08 UTC
Silly question - did you remove and reinstall our (VirtualBox/Oracle) Additions? If you did remove all the Fedora Additions packages - Sérgio should know what they are, and you should not need to remove any non-Additions Fedora packages - then we can probably rule out the Fedora-packaged Additions from the problem.

Just seen this, please take a look:
