Martin do we want to build java sdk for el7 even if the engine will be on el8? In theory you may have an application running on el7 host connecting to the engine running on el8.

No, we are dropping EL7 support completely, to have builds for both EL7 and EL8 would complicate things a lot due to very different status of dependencies fo SDK
