Comment 23 Qianqian Fang 2020-06-13 23:07:05 UTC
@ankur, I just made a new jsonlab release (v2.0), it seems jsonlab is monitored, but I am not sure why a new bug is not filed.

anyhow, I got I am getting a strange error w

Comment 24 Qianqian Fang 2020-06-13 23:12:55 UTC
sorry, did not finish typing the error message.

I updated the spec file

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/octave-jsonlab/c/dff26524b07f63a9de7c05b63880c05bfa8e8dc9?branch=master

but when I typed rpmbuild -ba octave-jsonlab.spec, I got the below error that "/path/to/rpmbuild/BUILD/jsonlab-2.0/build/octave-jsonlab-2.0-any-none.tar.gz does not exist".

I listed that folder, and see a file named octave-jsonlab-2.0.0-any-none.tar.gz, notice it is 2.0.0, not 2.0.

I had several other packages, such as octave-brain2mesh, that have a x.x version number, none of them had such issue.

do you know what triggers rpm to look for that 2.0.0 file instead of 2.0 file?

Comment 25 Qianqian Fang 2020-06-14 23:59:32 UTC
never mind. the issue came from my version number in the DESCRIPTION file, after fixing it, the error is gone. the package has been updated for f31-f33.
