Hi Michael,

Are you planning to work on this update? New version improves compatibility with sway and I'd like to see it in Fedora.
I did the initial changes at my fork [1], however the tests are intermittently failing during build. I can disable tests by default and send a PR if you are fine with doing that.

Upstream report: https://github.com/altdesktop/i3ipc-python/issues/149

Comment 5 Michael Šimáček 2020-03-04 12:30:28 UTC
It tried updating it some time ago and hit the problem with tests too, so I put it off. The package worked afterwards, so the problem was just the tests. I'm ok with disabling the tests, feel free to send the PR. I can also add you as a comaintainer of the package if you want.

Comment 6 Aleksei Bavshin 2020-03-04 12:51:49 UTC
I sent the PR with tests under %bcond.

As for comaintainership, I believe @sway-sig would be a better choice if other members are fine with that.
