Created attachment 1577380 [details] 0001-Fix-build-for-python-3.8.patch The issue is with how __pycache__ is handled in python 3.8. I have attached a patch which built cleanly in mock.
Actually, rawhide is also FTBFS and requires the same fix, so I have pushed the change to master.
