Description schandle 2019-06-03 23:26:13 UTC
Description of problem:
While deploying OpenShift and Metrics Store services, it is failing to Run the install_okd playbook with out failing. Not sure on exactly what it is failing on

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHV 4.3
ansible-2.6.17-1.el7ae.noarc
openshift-ansible-3.11.98-1

How reproducible:
100

Steps to Reproduce:
Followed the steps in the metric store installation guide

Actual results:
as of the last attempt, DNS resolution wants to go through tun0 adapter rather than eth0 which happens at the end of the playbook. It all works fine and routes correctly when running the playbook up until something causes routes to change and DNS tries to go through tun0.

Expected results:

Let's try disabling cockpit - instructions below depending on how you configure your installation:

add the following to the inventory in the [OSEv3:vars] section:

osm_use_cockpit=False

Or in your vars.yaml add this:

osm_use_cockpit: false

Or from the ansible-playbook command line:

ansible-playbook .... -e osm_use_cockpit=False ...

This issue should be tested by running OpenShift installation and stopping it before it finishes,
but after it created tun0 and/or docker0.
Then rerun the installation.

Workaround for this should be updating ignored_nics in /etc/ovirt-guest-agent.conf to:
ignored_nics = docker0 tun0

We don't have capacity now to verify metrics bugs. Moving to async 4.3.5-1.
