Created attachment 1576798 [details]
adv options

Description of problem:
Environment variables, labels, limits, etc. cannot be set at the time the deployment is created. The user has to go and do all of this afterward. Some of these settings can only be done by editing YAML. This requires a lot more clicks and manual steps on behalf of the user to do what was easily done in Advanced Options in 3.11.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
consistently

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click Developer Catalog
2. search for OpenJDK and click on the Red Hat OpenJDK 8 item

Actual results:
Advanced options is not present.

Expected results:
Expect to see the same options available under advanced options as we had in 3.11, especially env variables.

Additional info:
see screenshots for examples of the advanced options from 3.11

Comment 3 Samuel Padgett 2019-06-14 17:14:04 UTC
The dev console adds this back: https://github.com/openshift/console/pull/1721

Comment 4 Samuel Padgett 2019-06-20 14:56:55 UTC
Developer console has added an "Import from Git" form with advanced options.

Comment 6 Yanping Zhang 2019-06-26 07:35:55 UTC
build: 4.2.0-0.nightly-2019-06-25-222454
console commit: 585dfbf26db35b5d566a20228fbe071de78b9f22
Checked on ocp 4.2 env with above version. There is still no "advanced options" in s2i builder wizards on console.
So what should be checked to verify this bug? And what is "dev console"? On current console I didn't find the contexts finished in pr1721.

Comment 7 Yanping Zhang 2019-06-27 07:06:49 UTC
Sorry, on 4.2 env in Comment 6, I found the dev console link from masthead. On dev console, click "+Add"->"Import from Git", there is "Show Advanced Options" on the creation page, and click it, options are unfolded, user could set envs, labels, and so on.

The bug is fixed. So move it to Verified.
