Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/27004 from this bug

Comment 4 Bryan Kearney 2019-09-09 14:02:39 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/27004 has been resolved.

Comment 5 Lukáš Hellebrandt 2019-11-25 14:11:17 UTC
Navigation works but the breadcrumb path shown is "Compute Resouces -> $RESOURCE_TYPE -> VMs -> $VM_NAME", e.g. "Compute Resouces -> Ovirt -> VMs -> vm1.rhev1.example.com". I would expect CR name in Satellite in place of $RESOURCE_TYPE.

I consider this a minor bug, let me know if you think it's correct behavior.

Comment 6 Bryan Kearney 2019-11-25 15:03:14 UTC
Upstream bug assigned to apuntamb

Comment 11 Lukáš Hellebrandt 2020-06-29 09:29:19 UTC
This looks almost OK but I've hit a minor issue: When I click the "VMs" link, it gets me to a page with a list of VMs - which is expected. However, it's not a normal Compute Resource page switched to a VMs tab. It's just the list, there are no tabs in the page. Since I found no other way to get to this list-only page, I'm not sure if this is the best behavior. For consistency and understandability, I'd expect the link to get me to a CR page, VM tab. What do you think, Amir?

Comment 12 Lukáš Hellebrandt 2020-07-14 10:15:10 UTC
According to devel, it's not currently supported to automatically switch to non-default tab and it would be considerable effort to do that. As this is a minor glitch and the feature is not used by that many users, I agree this is an acceptable solution.

Verifired using Sat 6.8 snap 8.0, using reproducer from OP.
