libsbml fails to build with Python 3.8.0b1. The function time.clock(), used in examples/python/readSBML.py, has been removed. It was deprecated since Python 3.3. Use time.perf_counter() or time.process_time() instead, depending on your requirements, to have a well defined behavior. More info: https://docs.python.org/3.8/whatsnew/3.8.html#api-and-feature-removals (ideally, add ", used in XXX.py" after "time.clock(),") For the build logs, see: https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/@python/python3.8/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/00925586-libsbml/ For all our attempts to build libsbml with Python 3.8, see: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/python/python3.8/package/libsbml/ Testing and mass rebuild of packages is happening in copr. You can follow these instructions to test locally in mock if your package builds with Python 3.8: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/python/python3.8/ Let us know here if you have any questions.
