RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 2 Katerina Koukiou 2019-06-12 06:45:06 UTC
This is not a bug, it was just not implemented yet.
See https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/blob/master/pkg/machines/components/diskAdd.jsx#L347 we filter the pools with 'dir' type only to appear in add Disk dialog.

Comment 4 Martin Pitt 2019-06-26 08:20:18 UTC
This is getting fixed in https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/pull/12120

However, RHEL 7.7 feature deadline is behind us, and 7.8 is not meant to get new features, so I'm not sure this will ever land in RHEL 7. This will require an explicit exception from PM and QA if it should get squeezed into 7.7 at this point.

Comment 5 Xianghua Chen 2019-07-24 09:06:52 UTC
Are we going to move this bug to next release since rhel7.7.0 is going to be released and this bug is still in POST status?
Could you change the release flag if so?

Comment 6 Martin Pitt 2019-07-25 08:08:44 UTC
Right, requesting 7.8.

Comment 8 Xianghua Chen 2019-10-21 02:09:40 UTC
Test Versions:
cockpit-machines-195.4-2.el7.x86_64
libvirt-dbus-1.3.0-1.el7.x86_64

Test Steps:
1.Prepare an 'ISCSI Target' storage pool and a VM
2.Click the 'Add Disk' button, and then choose 'Use Existing'
3.Select the 'ISCSI Target' storage pool

The disk in the 'ISCSI Target' storage pool can be added to the VM successfully.
So verified.
