Foreman Issue Tracker 27041 0 Normal Needs design Reuse the scanning logic in foreman_scap_client for insights 2020-06-04 13:42:49 UTC

Description Sebastien Perreault 2019-06-12 19:46:19 UTC
Description of problem:

When you run /usr/bin/foreman_scap_client the report generated is not uploaded to insight automatically. With the advent of https://cloud.redhat.com/, it would be nice to have foreman_scap_client do the work for you.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Satellite 6.5.0
rubygem-foreman_scap_client-0.4.5-1

How reproducible:

In satellite create a SCAP policy, run it against a host, wait for it to upload to satellite. Login on https://cloud.redhat.com/ go into the SmartManagement section and try to find the compliance report for the host.

Actual results:

Should not be there.

Expected results:

Have the compliance report.

Comment 4 Mike McCune 2021-03-16 15:58:40 UTC
Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Comment 5 Mike McCune 2021-04-13 17:40:06 UTC
Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please do not reopen. Instead, feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
