Description Igor Braginsky 2019-06-24 15:25:42 UTC
Description of problem:
VM's network is not working after migration with bridged interface, after migration is completed, user needs to remove existing network interface and create a new one, then VM's network will become functional

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): HCO V2.0.0-27

How reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import VM from VMWare to CNV
2. During import use bridged network
3. Start VM and check what IP is assigned (should be IP of external network)
4. Try to ping something outside of local subnet (for example 8.8.8.8)

Actual results:
Ping will not work, no connectivity to external networks

Expected results:

Additional info:
As interface name can differ from it's name in VMWare, possibly one will need to re-configure network interface in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

Please attach at least the virt-v2v logs, otherwise it is impossible to debug this...

Comment 8 Igor Braginsky 2020-01-14 10:00:40 UTC
Tried to reproduce on OpenShift 4.3 + CNV v2.2.0-11, couldn't reproduce issue.
VM migrated with bridged interface was able to communicate with external network.

I think this bug can be resolved.

Just to remove needenfo flag
