Description of problem: Unable to successfully complete dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=30 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: On my system, re-running the command fails in the same place. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fedora Workstation originally installed as 27, I believe 2. Upgrade, periodically, through 29, no problems, using this guide: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade 3. Attempt to upgrade to 30 using the steps in that guide. Actual results: Error: Problem: package python2-rpkg-1.58-5.fc29.noarch requires python2-cccolutils, but none of the providers can be installed - python2-cccolutils-1.5-9.fc29.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository - problem with installed package python2-rpkg-1.58-5.fc29.noarch Expected results: Finishes task. Additional info: `dnf remove python2-rpkg` and uninstalling that package allows system-upgrade to continue.
The package python2-rpkg does not exist in F30 any more. Only python3-rpkg, but this package does not obsolete python2-rpkg.
A prepared fix is based on obsoleting python2-rpkg when on Fedora30.
