RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Dennis Keefe 2019-07-31 21:48:13 UTC
Stratis dumps its configuration into the system logs periodically. This is working as expected. However, this behavior seems to be unwanted. This ticket is being created to propose an enhancement, which will make Stratis less noisy in the common logs.

The change could provide an option to output Stratis' configuration on demand or
maybe only output the configuration when in debug.

Comment 1 Jakub Krysl 2019-10-02 11:32:58 UTC
Mass migration to Guangwu.

Comment 3 mulhern 2020-05-04 03:40:14 UTC
Upstream: https://github.com/stratis-storage/project/issues/93

Comment 5 mulhern 2020-12-16 19:01:06 UTC
We could, in a sense, consider this adequately handled w/ our Report interface. If so, then we can close it out in the next release.

Comment 8 mulhern 2021-01-07 14:52:55 UTC
Upstream issue: https://github.com/stratis-storage/project/issues/255

Comment 9 mulhern 2021-01-20 23:00:09 UTC
Work for upstream issue has been completed, the name 'engine_state_report' will be supported in stratis-cli 2.4.0 and the necessary D-Bus interface changes have been made in stratisd 2.4.0.

Comment 10 mulhern 2021-01-20 23:33:45 UTC
Dennis, can you set up the flags so that this bz is queued up for the next release?
