linphone failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f31

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=36635244

For details on the mass rebuild see:

Please fix linphone at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
linphone will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 32,
linphone will be retired, if it still fails to build.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 31 development cycle.
Changing version to '31'.

Dear Maintainer,

your package has not been built successfully in 31. Action is required from you.

If you can fix your package to build, perform a build in koji, and either create
an update in bodhi, or close this bug without creating an update, if updating is
not appropriate [1]. If you are working on a fix, set the status to ASSIGNED to
acknowledge this. Following the latest policy for such packages [2], your package
can be orphaned if this bug remains in NEW state more than 8 weeks.

A week before the mass branching of Fedora 32 according to the schedule [3],
any packages which still have open FTBFS bugs from Fedora 31 will be retired.

Comment 8 Andre Robatino 2019-10-07 14:46:13 UTC
Linphone is not installable in Rawhide (F32) due to the following file conflict. Should this be filed as a separate bug, and if so, against linphone or ortp?

Error: Transaction test error:
file /usr/lib64/libortp.so.9.0.0 conflicts between attempted installs of linphone-3.6.1-34.fc32.x86_64 and ortp-1:0.24.2-2.fc31.x86_64

Comment 9 Stuart D Gathman 2019-10-07 15:03:28 UTC
The bug is really against ortp. I tried upgrading ortp, found the incompatibility with linphone-3.6.1 in testing, and unpushed the packaged. But rawhide built the upgraded package, and got forked to f31 before I remembered - and now I don't know how to get rid of the incompatible version. :-(

Would it help to create an ortp-compat subpackage and have linphone depend on that?

Comment 10 Stuart D Gathman 2019-12-12 20:05:18 UTC
A fixed ortp package is f32 and f31-testing.

Comment 11 Andre Robatino 2019-12-12 23:36:16 UTC
Same file conflict with new ortp.

Error: Transaction test error:
file /usr/lib64/libortp.so.9.0.0 conflicts between attempted installs of linphone-3.6.1-35.fc32.x86_64 and ortp-2:0.23.0-1.fc32.x86_64

Comment 12 Andre Robatino 2019-12-26 21:29:52 UTC
Does the conflict mean that linphone needs to be built again? Or should it be ortp? Linphone is still not installable.

Comment 13 Stuart D Gathman 2019-12-26 23:16:10 UTC
I reverted the attempt to bundle ortp-0.23.0. It now builds and installs. I didn't test whether it actually works...
