Comment 3 Bryan Mason 2019-08-03 21:40:48 UTC
This happens on a new Lenovo X1 Yoga - 4th generation (2019). As a result of this, the wifi is unusable.

Comment 4 Bryan Mason 2019-08-05 23:36:07 UTC
The Wifi seems to work with the F30 Live Image, which has kernel-5.0.9-31 and linux-firmware-20190312-94. Here's the output of lspci related to the Wifi adapter:

"journalctl -k" with latest software and non-functioning wifi

Output of journalctl -k with:

    kenel 5.1.20-300.fc30.x86_64
    iwl7260-firmware-25.30.13.0-99.fc30.noarch

and

    options iwlwifi debug=1

set in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf. The wifi is non-functional.

"jounalctl -k" with downgraded iwl7260-firmware

Output of "journalctl -k" with:

    kernel-5.1.20-300.fc30.x86_64
    iwl7260-firmware-25.30.13.0-94.fc30.noarch

The failure

WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1008 at drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi/pcie/rx.c:1441 iwl_pcie_rx_handle+0x867/0x9b0 [iwlwifi]"

still occurs, but the firmware loads and the WiFi is now operational.

So this would seem to be a combination of kernel and firmware?

Comment 7 Bryan Mason 2019-08-19 14:33:35 UTC

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1733369 ***

Comment 8 Bryan Mason 2019-08-19 14:34:24 UTC
The firmware update in Bug 1733369 seems to resolve this issue, so I'm closing it as a duplicate of that Bug.
