Description Florian Weimer 2019-08-07 11:44:31 UTC
Running “baobab /var/log” results in this error message on my system:

Could not scan some of the folders contained in “/var/log”

Error opening directory '/var/log/swtpm/libvirt/qemu': Permission denied

Using sudo does not work either:

$ sudo baobab /var/log
No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

(baobab:11041): Gtk-WARNING **: 13:42:08.298: cannot open display: :0

This should be better filled upstream, it's not Fedora specific. Please do so, if you are still interested in this. Retest with 48.x series also welcome, it had been many years since you reported it. The error when running as root, it looks like an X11 error, not being able to reach the display.
