Description of problem: Please build python-pymilter for EPEL 8 (I need the package as run-time dependency for the python-oletools package). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): python-pymilter-1.0.4-2.fc31 Actual results: No python-pymilter in EPEL 8 Expected results: python-pymilter-1.0.4-2.el8 or better ;-) Additional info: Please let me know if you are not interested in maintaining the package on EPEL 8 branch.
I didn't see EL8 out on CentOS, but if mockbuild is good enough, I'll get on it.
Mockbuild doesn't work. I signed up for a developer subscription, installed rhel8-beta, but assigning the subscription doesn't seem to allow me to install or update anything. I can't ask RedHat because it is self supported. So, I did a scratchbuild - which failed. I'll see if there is anything obvious in the build log.
For me the following patch leads to a succeeding scratch-build: --- snipp --- diff --git a/python-pymilter.spec b/python-pymilter.spec index ff99287..85e1499 100644 --- a/python-pymilter.spec +++ b/python-pymilter.spec @@ -67,7 +67,7 @@ Requires: policycoreutils, selinux-policy-targeted Requires: %{name} = %{version}-%{release} BuildArch: noarch BuildRequires: policycoreutils, checkpolicy, selinux-policy-devel -%if 0%{?epel} >= 6 +%if 0%{?epel} >= 6 && 0%{?epel} < 8 BuildRequires: policycoreutils-python %else BuildRequires: policycoreutils-python-utils --- snapp ---
