Description Priscila 2019-08-12 17:23:55 UTC
Description of problem:

We are observing OVN_contoller container consuming high memory and crashing.
This is observed on multiple computes nodes with similar behavior.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

The issued occurred randomly on quite a few hypervisors.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. ovn-controller container memory usage went very high (600G+)
2. A core dump file generated on /var directory, which consumed all available space on that directory
3. ovn-controller container couldn't be restarted as /var is already full
4. ovn-controller container was restarted after the core dump file removed from /var

Actual results: ovn-controller crashes

Expected results: default ovn behavior

Comment 48 Lon Hohberger 2021-04-12 18:42:55 UTC
This appears to have been resolved by updated OVS/OVN packages which have been in use for some time. Closing.
