Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Bugzilla 1478892 0 medium CLOSED [RFE] Need an easy way to see when servers were last rebooted from Satellite 6, This lastboot information was available ... 2021-06-10 12:49:29 UTC

Description whitedm 2019-08-14 14:41:44 UTC
We would like a way to view the new last_boot fact that has just been added to subscription-manager's target release 8.1, per Bug 1478892. As described in that bug's comment 14, I'd personally love it if there were a column on the /hosts dashboard that displayed the host update. Being able to export the data could be useful too.

Comment 3 B. Haynes 2019-08-14 15:33:51 UTC
I notice that this is limited to RHEL6. Please make this "last_boot" fact avail for RHEL7 systems also.

Comment 4 B. Haynes 2019-08-14 15:35:35 UTC
oops. nm. this is targeting satellite 6, not RHEL 6. ignore previous comment. (or delete it)

Comment 5 Marek Hulan 2019-09-05 13:52:33 UTC
The uptime that is derived from uptime/boottime system facts will be displayed on host detail page and is also part of Applie Errata reports in upcoming 6.6. It will also be searchable in 6.7. The only unimplemented thing is the column in hosts table. Given the above, is that still desired? I think this should only be added once users can customize what columns they want to see as this information is not necessarily important for every user.

Comment 6 whitedm 2019-09-05 14:10:39 UTC
Ah, I didn't realize that data would already be ingested on the host detail page.
Yes, if it is already going to be a part of the host detail page, and will be searchable in 6.7, then I think that is sufficient.

I would personally still love the ability to view it in the column on the host summary table as you described, but if users will be able to customize this column in future Satellite versions, I think that we can get by until then.

Thank you.

Closing this following to comment 6 and the existing of last_boot in the host details page
