Description of problem: Since version 28 of Fedora, the package comes with the distribution but with VirtualBox 6; when using Fedora 30 the package Guest Additions is having issues with the VBoxSVGA graphics card, as it start to wake up the guest window (it turns white and then goes back to normal), but if I use the VMSVGA controller it does not do it. However the screen does not dinamically resizes, whereas with the VBoxSVGA it does it but then it fails. I have had to remove the package and install the Guest Additions CD Image. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): VirtualBox-guest-additions all How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure in the virtual box screen, in host, the VBoxSVGA controller. 2. Start Fedore 30 in VisturalBox as Host 3. Re-size the Guest window (Fedora) The window will re-size without issues When re-sizing, the window will start flickering Actual results: The Guest window will flicker with the package. Expected results: Don't Flicker and re-size Additional info: VirtualBox 6 OS HOST: MacOS X Mojave
I've tried to reproduce this on a Fedora 30 host (and with a Fedora 30 vm) and I've been unable to reproduce this. VirtualBox 6.0.10 (on the host side) is supposed to have a fix for this, are you running the latest version of VirtualBox (which is 6.0.10) ?
Thanks for your quick response! Actually, I am using VirtualBox version 6.0.10 in the Host. And this is MacOs X and the guest is Fedora 30 with the 'virtualbox-guest-additions' version 6.0.10 package It seems that when the VM is requested to perform a bir process, the window will flicker.
