“mock -r fedora-30_x86-64 --init” uses /usr/bin/machinectl from systemd-container, but there is no package dependency pulling it in, so the command fails.
1) This should only happen if you use --new-chroot which is not a default on el6. And there is no /usr/bin/machinectl or systemd-nspawn on EL6. 2) mock in epel6 will receive only security updates. Please move to el7 or el8.
Sorry, I misread the version default (“6” and “8” look so similar). This happened on epel8.
Fixed in upstream: * 9d5c37d (HEAD -> devel, origin/devel, origin/HEAD) requires systemd-container on rhel8 [RHBZ#1744538]
