Screenshot of MachineSet in console using other than openshift-machine-api namespace

Description of problem:

When clicking on the MachineSet and Machine tab, it selects the current namespace (attached screenshot), but the documentation says that MachineSets should be place in openshift-machine-api namespace.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

4.2.0-0.nightly-2019-08-29-062233

How reproducible:

Always

Comment 1 Jakub Hadvig 2019-09-03 11:39:43 UTC
Some additional info:

Machines in other than `openshift-machine-api` namespace are ignored.
Also MachineSet controller creates machines only in `openshft-machine-api` namespace.

Comment 2 Ramon Gordillo 2019-09-03 12:16:07 UTC
Exactly that is why the console should go directly to openshift-machine-api namespace when clicking in machinesets. Maybe this screen even should not be "namespaced".

Comment 4 Yadan Pei 2019-09-04 01:22:14 UTC
no testable builds

Comment 6 Yanping Zhang 2019-09-05 08:28:23 UTC
Fix is not contained in payload 4.2.0-0.nightly-2019-09-04-215255. Waiting for new payload.

Comment 8 Yanping Zhang 2019-09-09 01:54:08 UTC
Payload: 4.2.0-0.nightly-2019-09-08-180038
Console commit: https://github.com/openshift/console/commit/d26fdd4766eb56471e29cde24c54cd27f062cbbf
Checked on ocp 4.2 env with above version. Cluster admin login console, when click on "Machines", "Machine Sets" and "Machine Autoscalers" submenu, it will select "openshift- machine-api" namespace by default, related machine/machine set info will list on the page.
The bug has been fixed, so move it to Verified.
