Description of problem: After upgrade from 4.3.5 rc5 to 4.3.6 rc5 (+ OS upgrade to 7.7) a missing dependency is causing the following errors on login: [root@ovirt1 ~]# ssh engine root@engine's password: Last login: Wed Sep 18 19:48:32 2019 from ovirt1.localdomainnet_mlx5: cannot load glue library: libibverbs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory net_mlx5: cannot initialize PMD due to missing run-time dependency on rdma-core libraries (libibverbs, libmlx5) PMD: net_mlx4: cannot load glue library: libibverbs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory PMD: net_mlx4: cannot initialize PMD due to missing run-time dependency on rdma-core libraries (libibverbs, libmlx4) net_mlx5: cannot load glue library: libibverbs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory net_mlx5: cannot initialize PMD due to missing run-time dependency on rdma-core libraries (libibverbs, libmlx5) PMD: net_mlx4: cannot load glue library: libibverbs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory PMD: net_mlx4: cannot initialize PMD due to missing run-time dependency on rdma-core libraries (libibverbs, libmlx4) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.3.6 rc5 How reproducible: Cannot say - upgraded only once but got a snapshot Steps to Reproduce: 1.Upgrade engine setup packages 2.Run engine-setup (use defaults only) 3.Upgrade CentOS to 7.7 4. Reboot Actual results: Upon login errors are observed on the console Expected results: Dependency to be installed during setup and no errors to be observed Additional info: Installing 'libibverbs' stops the errors.
Looks like a missing dependency in rdma-core. The package is shipped in CentOS http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/os/x86_64/Packages/rdma-core-22.1-3.el7.x86_64.rpm can you please provide a sos report?
I can provide (maybe till end of day) an sos report but how usefull will it be ? I got a gluster snapshot, but I have upgraded all Hypervisors and I'm not sure if engine can deal with hosts on newer version.
Sos report has been uploaded at https://storage.googleapis.com/strahil-engine-backup/sosreport-engine-2019-09-19-ewmdyvt.tar.xz Of you have issues with the access - update me over e-mail.
A quick google search finds me bug 1658141, closing as duplicate. If it's a different issue, please reopen. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1658141 ***
