Thank you. Fixed in upstream spacewalk git by
commit 3aa7a66fe7a2af42aeffc9d3ef3e0ef3d0edde8f
1757198 - ignore kickstarttrees for child channels
Backported to SATELLITE-5.8 as
commit 335fd17aa5cc6903293601377ccfa977b0607ad6
1757198 - ignore kickstarttrees for child channels
Reproduced the issue on spacewalk-java-2.5.14-133 using the reproducer from the initial report - when running the cobbler-sync-bunch manually, a traceback email got sent to the Administrator Email Address configured at Admin -> Red Hat Satellite Configuration -> General. After an upgrading to spacewalk-java-2.5.14-136 and running the cobler-sync-bunch, no new email alert was generated. VERIFIED Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
