Description aaronmartin1651 2019-10-01 13:23:57 UTC
I can run yum from the command line to update the Spacewalk server itself (although I use dnf as a practice, but tested yum to ensure it was functional). When adding repository to a channel, syncing repository fails with Error: No module named yum. I have attempted different mirrors with no success, and cannot find any info on why this error could occur. The channel is for Centos 7 devices.

2019/10/01 09:19:42 -04:00 Command: ['/usr/bin/spacewalk-repo-sync', '--channel', 'sk_centos7', '--type', 'yum']
2019/10/01 09:19:42 -04:00 Sync of channel started.

I saw someone else say it's not possible to import a YUM repository with SHA-256 Checksum Type (e.g. Fedora 11) using neither the WebUI nor spacewalk-repo-sync. I changed the channel to Sha1 and it did not work. Rebooted server, still not functioning in GUI or terminal, same error that "No module named yum"

Fixed in spacewalk git by
commit f0786b62fee84cdfac4b3a75683737d6ad9d6de6
require real yum not dnf alias
